Southern rail passengers face new delays and disruptions as train drivers rejected a new deal to end the long-running dispute over the Government’s plans to operate driver-only trains. Members of the RMT union are set to walk out for 24 hours on February 22.
After 11 days of talks, an agreement between the company Southern Rail and the leaders of the Aslef Union was reached beginning of February but train drivers have decided to reject the deal negotiated by the union. The company has not announced yet which services will be disrupted.
Alternative transport options during Southern rail strike
