Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan was hit by a sandstorm hundreds of feet high reducing visibility to almost zero. Departing flights have been delayed & cancelled and landing planes were diverted to other airports.
In the following video, we can see the planes parked up on the tarmac being swallowed up by this spectacular wall of sand coming from the desert. The sandstorm results from the heatwave and extreme weather conditions that recently hit the Middle East.
