Passengers of this Delta Airlines flight from Boston to Salt Lake City probably spent one of the most frightening moment in their life last friday morning. Their plane was hit by “baseball-sized” hailstones causing important damages to the windshield and nose cone of the aircraft.
Pilots had to make an emergency landing at Denver International Airport without visibility because of major cracks in the windshield. No passengers or crew were hurt and one of them suggested Delta to give a sizeable bonus to their pilots for saving their life. Looking at the images, we could not disagree.
Another story that demonstrates the ability & skills of airline pilots following one of our latest post showing a plane’s impressive landing during a storm in Amsterdam.
