Have you ever wondered what happens to your checked luggages at the airport? The mistery has been revealed by Amsterdam Schipol airport in a three-minutes “behind-the-scene” video showing the journey of a suitcase inside the vast automated labyrinth of the airport.
A video camera, fixed on a suitcase is filming the trip, you can see the luggages being transferred on various conveyor belts and rails. According to the CCN, the longest distance a suitcase can travel is 2.5 kilometers!
It’s not the first time that Amsterdam Schipol airport, one of the world’s busiest airport, communicates around its infrastructure. Few weeks ago, we made an article about their installation of a climate portal to simulate the weather at your destination.
